Everyone does… at some time or the other!
The funny part is… That makes hope itself awfully mediocre!!


And yet we hope…
We hope to we find what we’re looking for!

We hope to find love!
We hope to be able to love!!

Exposed

In the sunlight beams,
a sapphire shine...
a serene treasure...
a mighty uproar...

In the hours of darkness,
the deep blue waits...

when he'll be cruel no more...

I was watching 'Growing Up' on Animal planet today.
There was this lady who had foxes for pets.

There were six new pups in the pack that were kept away from the others for a couple of months.

Finally, it was the day to mix up with the rest of the pack- adults!- Two females- The mother of the pups- and an aggressive, violent she fox- Rosslyn!

Quite predictably, Rosslyn (pseudo?) charged at the puppies.

Not to kill really...Just to make sure that she would still be the boss.

She bit and snarled and scared the poor kids away.

And then... the pups did the most beautiful thing!

They started licking her.

They licked her wet mouth and her black nose and her entire face.

Now... I don't know how to put this in words.

But from then on... Rosslyn was like their mother.

Of course, all of them grew up to be wild beasts.

But what these wild beasts did to another wild beast was one of the most beautiful things nature allows.

Love meets love,
And foes meet foes.
Life calls me
From wherever it goes…

But every time I touch my mind,
It darts ahead to leave me behind!

Pain

It just dawned upon me how terrible an actor I am...
I've been playing the younger one all my life...
even when I didn't need to... (not knowing when to stop! that's the biggest mark of a bad actor!)

and most of the people didn't even realize that I was just playing naive...
( you'd think that not letting people know that you are acting is what a great actor does but let me warn you....it's something that an actor should NEVER do!)

And now... I've decided to log off.... switch user...

but I still seem to be 'saving my settings...'

...breaking the shell that encloses human understanding...

Talk about realization...

There're so many people.... so many kinds of people...
I wonder what god has to say about this!

If I were God, I'd have written a lo-o-ot of poems... most of which would begin with,
"Oh Dear Me! Look what I've done!"

Doesn't God ever feel like writing poems?

Celebration!!!!!!

And suddenly...things seem to be falling in place!!!
The nights aren't gloomy anymore...
Everything is so radiant and colourful..!
People are smiling at each other for no apparent reason!

This season of the year brings magic in the air...
It really does!
People just stop being nasty to each other... :-)

And for me it's like Rachel's fourth of July...
Every Diwali... we'd go on the top of the house and sit there for hours watching fireworks...
all of us together...
And when everyone else had left I'd have my share of those 'little sistery' moments with Dada.
We would wait till the deafening bangs and booms turned into distant, puny little clanks!!
Now we're scarcely that sweet to each other!

But Diwali brings all that back!
And all of a sudden the spoilt, confused, irritable teenagers that we have so skillfully crafted... become the sweetest and kindest of kids!

Isn't this the most wonderful day???
The ruby red lantern that hangs above my door seems to be the brightest of lights in the whole wide world...
